Dr. Tarantino will be riding 106 miles in El Tour de Tucson again this year on November 18th to raise awareness for ITP and other platelet disorders! He has been participating in this premier cycling event for over 20 years.
In 1994 he rode in the El Tour for the first time with a colleague from his days in Tucson.
"It was an adventure, balancing the hotdogs and cookies at the rest stops with actually finishing the 109 mile ride. My fondest memory of the El Tour is raising over $10,000 for Tu Nidito (a vital resource for children and families whose lives have been impacted by serious illness or death and a principle beneficiary of the El Tour donations).”
Dr. Tarantino has been involved with the Platelet Disorder Support Association (PDSA) as a Medical Advisor for over a decade and has cared for many hundreds of person with ITP in the last 30 years. PDSA has been a beacon of hope for countless persons with ITP, and Dr. Tarantino wants to support them by raising money.
Please help Dr. Tarantino give to the ITP community by donating whatever you can!
The more people that know about ITP and other platelet disorders, the greater their impact! Please also spread the word by sharing the word with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
