Having a child (the dude on the left in the photo) in the Neonatal ICU for 9 weeks was the scariest thing that's ever happened to me. Walking into a CrossFit box might have been the second scariest.
Both experiences have taught me I am stronger than I think. So this month I'm doing something else scary: participating in the CrossFit Open.
Starting at the end of February, I'll do 5 workouts over 5 weeks, comparing myself to CrossFit athletes around the world as they do the same. I'm tracking the good, bad and ugly (and it is going to be soooo ugly) of this experience here with regular updates.
I'll share udpates here as I prepare, work with my coaches at Voodoo Crossfit 512, and participate in the Open. It's my hope to inspire you or make you laugh.
In return, please consider sponsoring this journey by making a contribution through this page to Hand to Hold. NICU parents every day are going through a much scarier experience than many of us can imagine.
