A breast cancer survivor, now in a wheelchair, who received tremendous help and support from family and friends, aware that not everyone has such support.
Working alongside Physiofunction I've become more independent constantly improving my mobility.
This year I'm doing my version of a triathlon and during the month of November, at Physiofunction, I aim to cover a total of 50km by doing a combination of Swimming (any stroke) / Rowing / Cycling (using an FES Cross Trainer).
I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of BBC Children in Need, in particular the BBC One Show's Rickshaw Riders (who are cycling 400 miles / 643.738 km) and wanted to support them by raising money, and in an exciting first for the fundraising challenge, The Hunter Foundation (THF) has pledged to give 40p for every £1 donated by the general public to the Rickshaw Challenge, helping to make the public’s generous donations go even further.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about BBC Children in Need, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
