Our wonderful Grandma, Betty Goodall, sadly passed away earlier this year. My brother (James) and I (Georgina) want to celebrate her life and thank St Wilfrid's hospice, who looked after her so wonderfully in her final few weeks, by taking on a fundraising challenge for the hospice. And we need your support!
This November, we will each run 300 miles in 30 days.
You heard me.
It'll be tough. For the mathematicians among you, you'll have noted that we will each need to average 10 miles a day.
That's 10.5 hrs running a week.
That's around 450,000 steps over the month.
That's.. that's... well that's a lot of running indeed!
It'll all be worth it though. Grandma received high standard, compassionate care during her time at St Wilfrid's, and they did all they could to make her as comfortable as possible. The kindness and sensitivity shown by the staff was truly invaluable, and they made what was an incredibly tough time just about bearable for the family.
We want to raise as much money as we can for St Wilfrid's hospice so they can continue to provide their vital support. Your sponsorship will directly contribute to that.
Track our progress on our instagram pages (@jamescarr12345 and @geocar88), or even come along on a run with us!
Thank you for your generosity, it means a lot.
