This August I am going to Peru and whilst there I am going to be taking part in a 4 day 43km trek following the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The trip is entirely self funded therefore all funds raised will go directly to St Ann’s Hospice.
In 2009 my Mum climbed Mt Kilamanjaro and raised over £7,000 for St Ann’s (setting the bar fairly high) so now it’s my turn!
My mum has worked as a Macmillan Specialist nurse for over 15 years working closely with St Ann’s Hospice. It is an incredible place that relies predominantly on charitable donations to provide the high standard of care that makes such a difference to people’s lives. This is why I have chosen to fundraise for them.
St Ann’s hospice provides free of charge care to over 3,000 people each year caring for patients and their families who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses.
I’m looking forward to the challenge and will be keeping everyone updated on my training and the trip on this page.
Thankyou for taking the time to read my page, all donations greatly appreciated!
