My Story

This is my first marathon.
In terms of running pedigree achieving a 59 minute finish at the Blackpool 10K in 2012 is the sum total of my previous experience.
I have been trying to get into the London Marathon for a number of years via the ballot but I have been unsuccessful.
This year I will reach 55 years of age one month before the race and have decided that this is to be the marathon year.........
So I am in!
I have been training with my good friend Tom Farquhar at Fortitude Fitness since December.
At the point of writing this on the 25th of March, I have completed my first half marathon and a 20 mile race.
I have two objectives for London 2019, to finish with a respectable time and to raise funds for a really deserving cause.
For this reason, I am running with Fortitude Fitness for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and I have created this page because I want to make a difference whilst completing the marathon to satisfy my own personal goal.
I am inspired by the work of the trust and wanted to support them.
Please help me to help them by giving whatever you can, using the ‘give now’ button.
The more people that know about Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the greater
Please spread the word by sharing my page..
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
If you get chance to tune into the marathon coverage on the 28th April you’ll see me & many others making a difference, achieving goals for themselves and their charity.

Thank You
