My Story

On 22 February 2020 we, Ben (19) and Nick (20) will be challenging ourselves to sail 1,271 nautical miles around the North Island of New Zealand in a race, as the youngest crew with the smallest boat.

We both know people who have been affected by suicide. In New Zealand suicide rates are very high and we want to use this challenge to throw a lifeline to Lifeline.

Lifeline Foundation Charitable Trust give kindness and support in a time of crisis. They receive 10,000 calls a month and help people at high risk of suicide. They don't get government funding for this so they rely on public donations to keep their helplines going.

It costs $750 for Lifeline to train a helpline volunteer and we would like to help them do this. If you can help, please click on the 'Give Now' button and/or spread the word by sharing this page with your friends and family. Thank you for your generosity.

Thank You
