The transition to parenthood is one of the biggest adjustments a person can ever go through. At Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Aotearoa (PADA) we understand the complexities of parenthood and how mental health can change during this special but often difficult time.
Exercise is proven to contribute to mental well-being and Pound the Pathway for PADA is a fun run / walk designed to throw the spotlight on perinatal distress, break down the stigma that surrounds mental illness, and raise much needed funds so we can continue to provide our valuable service.
PADA is a national charity that exists to improve outcomes for families and whanau affected by perinatal mental illnesses. PADA's work is crucial to the 25% of mothers who suffer from anxiety or depression during or after pregnancy and 10% of fathers who experience postnatal depression after the birth of their child.
