Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm doing a 12 hour non-stop lecture on Friday 20th January 2017 in aid of Our Lady's Hospice in Harold's Cross, Dublin. The funds raised will be used to furnish one of the new single-bed palliative care rooms that are being built. Thanks to the generosity of so many people to date, I've raised money to buy a new bed (€1,900), but still need to raise the balance in order to buy a special mattress (€550) and a pull-down couch (€935) for family members who may need to stay over.
I'm doing this event in memory of Eoin Fennessy, better known as Fenno, who was cared for in Our Lady's Hospice in August & September 2016. Eoin was one of the lucky ones who had one of the few single rooms rather than sharing a four-bedded room. The new en-suite single rooms will transform the care and quality of life for patients and their families, at a time when they need that care most. You can read more about Eoin's inspirational story at
The lecture takes place in National College of Ireland's IFSC campus on Friday 20th January 2017, from 7am to 7pm. I'll be talking about various management & accounting topics (but not in too serious a way!). I will post a detailed schedule closer to the date, so it would be great if people could drop by at some stage during the 12 hours to listen, participate or even to heckle!
Please support this event & spread the word to your colleagues and friends. I hope you will sponsor us, or get yourself sponsored! Further info on Our Lady's Hospice is available at www.olh.ie
