Years ago, we left a little piece of our hearts in Nepal. So the devastation that the Anzac Day earthquake has caused in this spectacular place, for its beautiful people, breaks our hearts.
We want to stand with the people of Nepal as they recover and rebuild - and we know that there's a serious mountain of work ahead. An Everest-sized mountain, in fact.
So as a gesture of support for those climbing that rebuilding mountain, we will commit to an Everest-sized climb of our own with 42 summits of our local mountain - Mount Coolum, which stands at 208m - to notch up an Everest-equivalent ascent of nearly 8,800m. And to because no recovery effort could be a solo endeavour (and because we are not that fit!), we will do it as a team, completing a few of ascents each. Dividing and conquering, as it were.
You can show your support by digging deep and helping us reach our team's fundraising target of $1000. Or even better get together a team of your own and raise another $1000 - or even more - for the recovery effort. We'll see you at the top on Saturday May 30!
