My Story

I have decided to walk again but this time I have company. My sister Sue will walk with me, keep me company and together we will keep our spirits high. In 2016, we walked together through Ireland and raised much needed funds for Cancer Queensland.
This next walk in August/September 2019 will be the continuation of the Via Francigena walk to Rome. In 2017 I commenced this walk from Salisbury to Canterbury in England and then crossed the sea to France and continued walking to Besancon near the France/Switzerland border.
In 2019, Sue will keep me company as we continue this walk from Besancon across Switzerland to the Italian border, a distance of 231km with this walk taking us about 3 and a half weeks to complete.
I have said a couple of times that I would not walk or fundraise again but here I am back again and again we have decided to walk for Cancer Queensland and in honour of the boys in the family who have lived with cancer and either succumbed to the disease or who have beaten it.
With the help of family and friends we hope to raise $2,000 before we leave for Zurich in the middle of August 2019. Maybe you can help us reach and surpass this target!

Thank You
