I've just joined the 10-day Trek for Sight fundraising challenge in Sri Lanka!
I'll be stepping out of my comfort zone to hike some of Sri Lanka’s most strenuous peaks and see firsthand the work that the Brien Holden Vision Institute & Optometry Giving Sight do - all in an effort to raise the standards of care for the vision impaired in Sri Lanka and around the globe.
I’ll have the opportunity to visit the Warakapola Vision Centre to gain better insight into how the project we’re supporting is run, and I’ll have the chance to participate in the screening process, registration of patients, and distribution of spectacles. This will be a powerful and life-changing experience not only for me but for the recipients receiving treatment.
If you would like to support me on my challenge and therefore help eliminate poverty and create equality for those suffering from poor vision and limited and insufficient eye care, then please make a donation using the 'give now' button. The more people that know about this great charity, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
