Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life–shortening genetic illness. Cystic fibrosis primarily affects the lungs and digestive system; from birth, a person with cystic fibrosis undergoes constant medical treatments and physiotherapy. A baby born today has a life expectancy of 37 years. Cystic Fibrosis Queensland provides support and services for the increasing number of people living with cystic fibrosis who attend a Queensland Health clinic for treatment.
