My Story

On April 22, 2020, four Victoria Police members lost their lives, tragically struck and killed on the Eastern Freeway in Melbourne whilst on duty.

Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor 27417
Senior Constable Kevin King 40942
Constable Joshua Prestney 45438
Constable Glen Humphris 45688

Victoria Police Legacy supports Victoria Police families, serving or retired, who have lost a spouse, partner or parent both financially with education and career grants as well as social activities including fellowship lunches, emotional support, counselling and advocacy, financial assistance and advice, personal visits and reconnection days.

Whilst we are all currently living a restricted life with the COVID-19 crisis, Victoria Police members are still out and about, doing their job and serving the community.

Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, running and walking (2 up following social distancing rules in Victoria, Australia as of 29 April 2020) is still permitted.

For the month of May, I have vowed to run 318.97km as part of the Run4Blue event.

27.417km for Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor
40.942km for Senior Constable Kevin King
45.438km for Constable Joshua Prestney
45.688km for Constable Glen Humphris

X 2 (because I generally average 200-250km per month)

318.97km will be the most I have ever run in one month.

If you would like sign up for Run4Blue and pledge your own kilometres (you’re in iso, what is you’re excuse!), you can head to www.run4blue.net
