Darling St Anglican Church, on the Balmain Peninsula, is making freedom for child slaves possible, by raising funds to support the work of the International Justice Mission (IJM) in Ghana, Africa.
Its ‘Songs of Freedom’ community fundraising event at 7:30 on Friday 17 August at Balmain Town Hall, will focus attention on the plight of thousands of young children working in slavery in the Lake Volta fishing industry, in Ghana. Pre-book tickets at www.darlingst.org.au
