I am taking on Hardrock 100 in Colorado's San Juan Mountains in late July FOR THE SECOND TIME!!!. Average altitude is about 3,200m, it's 160km long and features lightning storms, lethal cliff edges and 10,000m of ascent. Game on!! 2018 was clockwise, 2019 is counter-clockwise. Gotta go both directions if you wanna be a Hardrocker!
The Telethon Type 1 Family Centre in Perth is an incredible resource for kids and teens living with type 1 diabetes and trying to live bigger than they're ever going to be able to when parents and health professionals still just want to wrap them in cotton wool.
I'm grateful for the lessons and experiences I've had running ultra marathon with type 1, but I'm also really grateful that I didn't have to get through this condition in my teens or on my own. I've seen the compassion, dedication, and impact of the Telethon Type 1 Family Centre on individuals and families effected by type 1 and the work they do is amazing. That's why if you think 'wow, look at some of the stuff he does' I want you to know that I look at them and say, 'wow, look at all of the stuff they do'.
Please make a donation to support their awesome community input. Thanks heaps!
