Richmond gets the CHOP for charity!
I've created this page because I want to make a difference.
I have been growing my hair for 7 years now, and the time has come to say goodbye. I am having the big CHOP on Monday 26th November at our morning assembly at school. My hair will be donated to Variety Hair with Heart, and it will be given a new lease on life. Once Variety have received my hair, they will arrange for it to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a long term medical condition.
I'm also inspired by the work of The Alannah & Madeline Foundation and I want to support them by raising money. The ultimate goal of The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is to keep children safe. The Foundation works with children who have experienced, or are at risk of, violence and/or bullying (including cyber bullying).
As you may already know, The Alannah & Madeline Foundation was set up in memory of Alannah and Madeline Mikac, who were tragically killed, along with their mother, in April 1996. Although I was born 10 years after the tragic events of Port Arthur, I feel a strong connection to The Alannah & Madeline Foundation through the partnership that the Richmond Tigers Football Club has had with them since 2012, and through the work that I have been involved in with ORCS (Official Richmond Cheer Squad).
Please help me help The Alannah & Madeline Foundation, by giving whatever you can spare, using the 'Give Now' button.
The more people that know about The Alannah & Madeline Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
