My name is George, I am a volunteer and my purpose is to help give mistreated animals a second chance at life. I want to make a difference. I want to take a step for the betterment of those who do not have the opportunity to take the step for themselves. I am running the Medibank Melbourne Marathon for all the cats and dogs that Pets Haven has saved, and more importantly, all the animals that still need to be rescued! For this, the Pawprintrun was born www.pawprintrun.com.au.
Pets Haven is a not-for-profit, pro-life animal shelter which means they are a no-kill shelter! Through the tireless efforts of their staff, volunteers and foster carer network, approximately 2,500 cats and dogs found a furever home last year.
I hope to improve social awareness and gain more support from the community so that we can continue to advocate animal rights and help eradicate animal cruelty.
As the amazing work of Pets Haven becomes more recognised, and with the ever growing support they receive, more and more lives are able to be saved.
I will be running the Medibank Melbourne Marathon in my Pets Haven racing gear. Please support me, donate what you can. If you can’t afford to donate money, the furkids are constantly in need of warm blankets, food to eat, or someone to take them for a walk.
Sparing the little things, can make a lifetime of difference:
Animals will forever leave paw prints on your heart. So help me on the pawprintrun to rescue your next best friend, so they can leave their pawprint on your heart
