My Story

When I was a kid, a very kind librarian took pity on me and made me president of the 'Library Club' which is something she invented to give me an excuse to read books and show her the weird stories I was writing, and not have to play soccer with a mean boy named Joe. It made all the difference to me, and by supporting Sydney Story Factory, I hope other kids have that same opportunity. Sydney Story Factory does amazing work, especially for marginalised kids who might not have this kind of opportunity elsewhere, and i've created this page to support them by raising money.

My goal will be to write four chapter of my novel, 100 Fanfictions About My Friend Jack Veneng throughout the month of September, and research all the necessary historical stuff. Please help me reach this goal, while also helping a worthy cause by hitting the Donate Now button. Every bit counts!

Pen to Paper Challenge 2016

Pentopaper logoset online01 2

This September writers of all varieties are committing to putting their pens to paper to keep the creativity pumping at the Sydney Story Factory. They're challenging themselves to sit down and WRITE and asking friends and family to sponsor them.
Want to sign up someone UNDER 16? Please click on "Continue Reading" to see important info.
We've already blitzed our original target! Amazing! So we're going higher, with a big bold stretch (gulp) to $30,000. Will you help us get there? $30,000 will guarantee no fewer than 600 places in one of SSF's signature book making or robot bird poetry workshops for marginalised children. Thanks for your support!
Are you registering a young writer under 16? Call the page your child's name. Then all other details, including date of birth, need to be your own to create a fundraising page on Everyday Hero (you have to be over 16 to be able to fundraise). If you have any problems at all email debbie@sydneystoryfactory.org.au. Thanks again!
