I've created this page because I want to help make a difference. I'm inspired by a very special young family that attends the childcare where I work at that has been affected breast cancer.
Sarah arrived to collect her children from daycare the day she was discharged from hospital. Her eldest son, who is in my room at the centre, ran to give her a hug. She pulled her arms away from him and told him she couldn't lift him because her arms were too sore. After seeing this heartbreaking scene I knew that I needed to help make a difference.
Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My sons are 3 years old and 18 months old. I have had a double mastectomy and chemotherapy which has had a massive impact on our family. Mummy's Wish provided talking teddy bears for my kids so that I was able to record a special message for them to hear while I was away in hospital. They have also supported us by providing meals to be delivered to our home.
Amanda is the lead educator in my eldest sons day care room and has made to very brave decision to shave to raise money that will be donated to Mummy's wish to help other Mum's and families like ours.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Mummy's Wish, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
