My Story

I have been a volunteer at the Sydney Story Factory this year tutoring kids in writing workshops. The Story Factory provides these workshops on a daily basis to children all around Sydney from various backgrounds and they deserve the funds to keep these excellent courses running.

For one month writers of all ages and varieties will commit to putting their heads down, their pens to paper, and their fingers to their keyboards to raise money for the Sydney Story Factory.

I'm planning on writing a short story. I currently view myself as a lapsed writing practitioner who is occasionally inspired to write something in my iPhone notes. I'm far less sure I'm capable of achieving this goal than I was of running the City2Surf last year, so I'm going to need your support! A surprise I'm sure to a lot of you. Hopefully there will be a story to share at the end of September.

Thanks in advance! :)

This September writers of all varieties are committing to putting their pens to paper to keep the creativity pumping at the Sydney Story Factory. They're challenging themselves to sit down and WRITE and asking friends and family to sponsor them.
Want to sign up someone UNDER 16? Please click on "Continue Reading" to see important info.
We've already blitzed our original target! Amazing! So we're going higher, with a big bold stretch (gulp) to $30,000. Will you help us get there? $30,000 will guarantee no fewer than 600 places in one of SSF's signature book making or robot bird poetry workshops for marginalised children. Thanks for your support!
Are you registering a young writer under 16? Call the page your child's name. Then all other details, including date of birth, need to be your own to create a fundraising page on Everyday Hero (you have to be over 16 to be able to fundraise). If you have any problems at all email debbie@sydneystoryfactory.org.au. Thanks again!
