Every person on this earth deserves to smile. As an aspiring reconstructive surgeon it is a fundamental human right that is very close to my heart. That is why next year as I take on the 42.2 kilometres of the 2017 Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris I will be raising funds for Operation Smile Australia.
Operation Smile are dedicated to improving the lives of children born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities in developing countries. An operation such as repairing a cleft lip takes only 45 minutes and costs as little as $300 to have a lifelong impact on a child’s life.
I have a fundraising aim of $3000 which will go towards changing the lives of children across the world so that they can have a face that they are proud of, and ultimately, have a reason to smile - something Operation Smile has already done for over 115,000 children worldwide and counting!
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Operation Smile Australia, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
