In 2018 I trekked the Kimberley with a group of wonderful people to raise some much needed cash for a crazily under-funded charity which makes a world of difference to kids who really need it.
In 2020 we're doing it again, this time in outback South Australia, and for another hugely worthy cause. The prevalence of domestic violence in Australia is sickening and there's just not enough support for women stuck in abusive relationships
The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women's Shelter is just one of many places where women and their kids can go when there is nowhere else and the threat of violence, or worse, is too much to continue living with.
The people who run the shelter are the real everyday heroes, and anything you can spare to help them keep doing what they do would be amazing.
