I've created this page because I want to make a difference and help end cancer for good. I have chosen to support Australian Cancer Research Foundation as their funding and research goes to many different types of cancer, quite a few of which has touched my family in recent years. In 2015 I lost my step-sister to liver cancer. My step-mum was diagnosed and is fighting lung cancer. My aunty was diagnosed and is fighting breast cancer. In 2014 I also lost my uncle to cancer. This is an insidious disease and I've had enough.
In April 2015 45 generous donations helped me raise $2,250 for ACRF when I ran the 10km of the Australian Running Festival in Canberra. This time I'm aiming for $2,500 and am challenging myself to do at least 100 workouts before my 42nd birthday in February - sure, it seems a long way away but I'm factoring in some rest time, some holiday time and some injury time too. I certainly won't be taking it easy. My workouts will be anything from CrossFit to walking a dog and everything in between, if I'm off my backside and out there being active, it counts.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the "Give Now" button and thank you in advance for your generosity.
