My work did a piece on the Sydney Story Factory’s Pen to Paper Challenge. Inspired by the cause, I roped in my best pal and decided to get us involved as a team.
Rachel and I both love writing, and lately have been struggling to find the time to do it. We started writing a series of essays on the modern dating world to create into a book of sorts- a good, bad, lovely, ugly and downright crazy retelling and advice-giving book.
We are accepting the Pen to Paper Challenge to motivate ourselves into finishing an idea we loved creating over a glass of wine, but also because we want to make a difference. The Sydney Story Factory is a not-for-profit creative writing centre that is doing amazing work encouraging young people, particularly at-risk kids, to get writing.
For September they're raising money by asking Australians to accept the Pen to Paper Challenge, which is about committing to a new writing project of any kind, genre or style.
Please help us help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Sydney Story Factory, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
