My Story

A close friend and Mentor of mine- Mat Britton lost his dad to Mesothelioma ( a rare and currently incurable cancer caused by asbestos exposure) in 2014. Mat's vision to not only honour his Dad but to make a difference for other people and their families has always inspired me to be and do better at life in general. I'm excited to get my hands dirty in my first time actively supporting the cause in the runners support crew.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Bernie Banton Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

The Trail to Triumph Journey, fondly known as 'Tony's Journey' was created in memory of Tony Britton who lost his battle with Mesothelioma. A rare and currently incurable cancer caused by asbestos, his son Mat Britton has since founded 'Trail to Triumph, an annual event which tackles the arduous terrain, running 250 kilometres, to commemorate the life of his dad and raise funds and awareness of Mesothelioma.
