My Story

HSI's disaster relief and recovery work is ongoing in Nepal. Delivering essential veterinary care for animals owned by families in earthquake effected rural areas is important so that communities can rebuild after this disaster. We are still seeing livestock that were injured by falling buildings that need treatment to get them through. Animals that were buried for days in some cases are suffering from untreated fractures and respiratory conditions from dust inhalation. These animals mean everything to their owners and often provide an income for whole families with their milk. You can directly help fund the work of the team through a donation direct to HSI via this page.
