My Story

The Sydney Story Factory is a magical place. Every day they help young people get excited about writing. Often these are kids who previously hated it, or had decided they were no good at it. It is a special moment when that light goes on in their eyes and they suddenly see how thrilling and powerful writing and storytelling can be. It can be transformative.

Please help switch that light on for even more marginalised young people this coming year. You can do this by giving any amount, however small, using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Sydney Story Factory, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing this page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

MY GOAL FOR THE CHALLENGE: Is to add 10,000 words to my languishing novel manuscript.

Pen to Paper Challenge 2016

This September writers of all varieties are committing to putting their pens to paper to keep the creativity pumping at the Sydney Story Factory. They're challenging themselves to sit down and WRITE and asking friends and family to sponsor them.
Want to sign up someone UNDER 16? Please click on "Continue Reading" to see important info.
We've already blitzed our original target! Amazing! So we're going higher, with a big bold stretch (gulp) to $30,000. Will you help us get there? $30,000 will guarantee no fewer than 600 places in one of SSF's signature book making or robot bird poetry workshops for marginalised children. Thanks for your support!
Are you registering a young writer under 16? Call the page your child's name. Then all other details, including date of birth, need to be your own to create a fundraising page on Everyday Hero (you have to be over 16 to be able to fundraise). If you have any problems at all email debbie@sydneystoryfactory.org.au. Thanks again!
