On the 8th of June, at around 14:50, I reached the MCG! After 900+ km of cycling, and a victory lap (passing Sir Donald Bradman at 100.0 km - appropriate, I thought!), I finished near the statue of the great Dennis Lillee.
What a fantastic adventure it's been, over the last two and a half weeks, or so. Thank you to all you have followed my ride, and to those that have donated so far.
MND (Motor Neurone Disease) is a nasty disease. Once diagnosed, your life expectancy is around two to five years. Over that time, you start losing motor control over your body. However, your mind remains active. It is a cruel Beast of a disease. Each day, at least two Australians are diagnosed. And, each day, two Australians die from it. Please consider making a donation, and help give this Beast of a disease a knock-out punch!
