The Animal Welfare League NSW receive, on average, 2000 surrendered cats and dogs every year and last year they assisted over 13,000 lost, sick or abandoned pets. Their Vet bill reached $500,000. It's impossible for them to do this without donations from people like you.
Why do so many pets end up at the Animal Welfare League NSW?
Sometimes it because people can no longer care for their pet. Sometimes people move and cannot take their pet with them. More alarmingly, some people want to swap their pet for a newer model and this happens more than you'd like to think. Others come to the AWL NSW through cruelty and neglect, sometimes it's via a Court Order and these are the saddest animals of all - displaying both fear and relief in equal measure.
Our cat, Gizzy, began his life at the AWL's Ingleside shelter. We couldn't imagine life without him. Help us make a difference to the pets who aren't so lucky by donating here to the Animal Welfare League NSW. Please help us thank them by raising some funds so they can continue their life saving work.
For every donation, you will get a ticket in a raffle for some beautiful PartyLite candles. On a personal note, we also wanted to thank the AWL NSW for rescuing our cat in his early life before he eventually found his way to us. We love Gizzy to the Moon and back.
