My Story

The Sydney Story Factory do REALLY important work with children, and I'm hoping I can make a little positive impact. I can't claim to know "for sure" how karma works, but guaranteed if you donate (even a little bit, like $10!) you're gonna feel good. And so you should! You're helping teach children confidence, literacy, and the power of words.

So what is my ranga mug even doing here? I'm promising to do BIG FANTASTIC THINGS in order to raise this money. (Cue nervous sweats.) I will:

  • Write 10,00 more words of my manuscript, Eggshell Skull; and
  • Lock in 4 new articles for the Issue #2 of Hot Chicks with Big Brains

Come September I'll start blogging about my progress at www.brileeplay.com and you can see my other work to-date at www.brileework.com - oh, and www.hotchickswithbigbrains.com is where I do that groovy other stuff.

Thanks for stopping by! :D

This September writers of all varieties are committing to putting their pens to paper to keep the creativity pumping at the Sydney Story Factory. They're challenging themselves to sit down and WRITE and asking friends and family to sponsor them.
Want to sign up someone UNDER 16? Please click on "Continue Reading" to see important info.
We've already blitzed our original target! Amazing! So we're going higher, with a big bold stretch (gulp) to $30,000. Will you help us get there? $30,000 will guarantee no fewer than 600 places in one of SSF's signature book making or robot bird poetry workshops for marginalised children. Thanks for your support!
Are you registering a young writer under 16? Call the page your child's name. Then all other details, including date of birth, need to be your own to create a fundraising page on Everyday Hero (you have to be over 16 to be able to fundraise). If you have any problems at all email debbie@sydneystoryfactory.org.au. Thanks again!
