My Story

I volunteer at the The Sydney Story Factory, which aims to foster a love of reading, writing and story making in children - particularly for those less fortunate. Children gain confidence in their reading, creativity and the uniqueness of their own voices. You get to see the pride and satisfaction on a child's face on the completion of a story; it is a wonder to behold.
It needs to be fostered and supported.

Pen to Paper Challenge 2016

Pentopaper logoset online01 2

This September writers of all varieties are committing to putting their pens to paper to keep the creativity pumping at the Sydney Story Factory. They're challenging themselves to sit down and WRITE and asking friends and family to sponsor them.
Want to sign up someone UNDER 16? Please click on "Continue Reading" to see important info.
We've already blitzed our original target! Amazing! So we're going higher, with a big bold stretch (gulp) to $30,000. Will you help us get there? $30,000 will guarantee no fewer than 600 places in one of SSF's signature book making or robot bird poetry workshops for marginalised children. Thanks for your support!
Are you registering a young writer under 16? Call the page your child's name. Then all other details, including date of birth, need to be your own to create a fundraising page on Everyday Hero (you have to be over 16 to be able to fundraise). If you have any problems at all email debbie@sydneystoryfactory.org.au. Thanks again!
