Statistics state that 1 in 7 woman in Australia will be diagnosed with breast cancer before their 85th birthday. Girls Night In is a night currated by La Trobe Bendigo Residential Services to promote breast cancer awareness amongst young woman. This year, I will be chopping off and donating about 35-40cm of my hair, to create wigs for children suffering from cancer or alopecia.
All money raised will be donated to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.
Peter MacCallum is an oncology research institue, but also provide cancer treatment and profession oncology training. In partnership with Bendigo Health, they provide free radiotherapy services for all Medicare patients in the Loddon Malley District.
This cause is close to my heart as so many strong woman and their families have to deal with hardships caused by cancer, including my family.
It is an amazing cause, any donation will be appreciated no matter how big or small. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
