Hey everyone,
I've been a type 1 diabetic for almost 10 years now and have recently experience the freedom that a Continous Glucose Monitor can provide to people living with type 1 diabetes.
It's my goal to assist in fundraising effort by the Danii Foundation in order to further the work towards CGM funding for all type 1 diabetics.
At the moment my CGM costs me $250 a month. This is not subsidised by the government or the NDSS at all. Which puts it way out of the affordable range for most type 1 diabetics. Thankfully due to the good work of the Danii Foundation, JDRF and a few other organisations funding was approved for all type 1 diabetics under the age of 21. The next step is to have that funding extended to all diabetics, but to do that the Danii foundation needs our support.
Please support me and all diabetics in this fight to gain access this life saving technology.
It is National Diabetes week starting the 9th of July to the 15th of July. During that week on the Monday to Friday I will be doing 10km of exercise everyday. Whether it is swimming, cycling or walking. I will keep you updated on my progress.
Please donate what you can, whether it's a little bit or a lot, it all helps.
