I have created this page because I want to help LIVIN make a difference.
1 in 5 young people experience a mental health challenge in any one year; many suffer in silence due to stigma and misunderstanding. LIVIN is helping to change this. Over 40,000 young people have been reached through their amazing work, and I want to support them in helping even more people. I will be proving #itaintweaktospeak by my participation in the 400km marathon endurance horse ride “SHAHZADA”. This organisation is very close to my heart as I have personally dealt with mental illness and have felt the effects of the stigma associated with speaking up.
Together with the support of Kintamani Arabians, Kintamani Kimbra and I will be attempting to ride 400km from 27 - 31 August in support of LIVIN and to help break the stigma surrounding mental health.
The sport of endurance riding in Australia includes endurance rides from 20km up to 160km in one day. 400km is the longest marathon endurance ride spread over 5 days held in the Hawkesbury area of St Albans NSW. This challenge is more than a test against course, clock and other competitors. It is a test of spirit, strength, resilience and communication with a creature with whom we share our life during the long hours and miles of training and competition. Spirit, strength and resilience are things you need to battle mental health challenges.
Please help me to help this amazing organisation by giving whatever you can, even if it’s just the cost of donating your coffee fund for the day.
The more people that know about LIVIN, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means so much to me and you are helping to make a difference in the lives of so many others.
